These are so easy to make and my family and friends always ask for them. Great with a sweet and sour dipping sauce or ducksauce

  • 1 pkg
    pre-cut coleslaw mix in salad aisle
  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce
  • 12
    eggroll wrappers (sold in most grocery stores)
  • 8 oz
    salad or coctail shrimp (optional)
  • 1/2 lb
    bean sprouts, fresh
  • ·
    vegetable oil for deep frying

How to Make simple chinese eggrolls


  1. mix slaw mix, soy sauce and sprouts together, add shrimp if desired
  2. saute in small amount of veg oil over medium heat till cabage is soft, about 15 min
  3. using slotted spoon put about 1 1/2 tablespoons of cooked filling on center of egg roll wrapper, fold sides in and roll up, pkg of wrappers have folding directions. seal edge with water, just wet fingertips and seal. Fry in deep fryer till golden.
  4. May be made ahead and frozen, reheat in toaster oven for a quick snack or side dish
