Ingredients: 1/2 lb hamburger; 3/4 c chopped onion; 3/4 c diced carrots; 3/4 c diced celery; 1 tsp dried basil; 1 tsp dried parsley; 3 c chicken broth; 4 c diced potatoes; 8 oz cheddar cheese; 1 1/2 c milk; 1/4 c flour; 1/2 stick butter; s & p to taste

This soup recipe was given to me by my friend Linda. The soup is yummy and children will love it! It will not break the bank as far as ingredients and you can modify it to your own taste!

1/2 lb

hamburger
3/4 c

How to Make Linda's Cheeseburger Soup

Step-by-Step

Brown Hamburger and set aside. Bring broth, potatoes,onion, carrot, celery, basil, parsley and burger to a boil. Simmer until potatoes are tender. Make a roux with the butter and flour until tan in color and add to soup.
reduce to low and add cheese, milk and S & P to taste. Simmer about 30-35 mins.
