I baked this one year and they were a hit with Santa. I ran across this recipe in some of my mother's old recipes.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    butter at room temperature
  • 1/2 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 1 3/4 c
    plain flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1
    16 oz. container of white frosting
  • 1
    bag of m&m's milk chocolate candies for the holidays

How to Make Cookie Candy Canes

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine butter and confectioners' sugar. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Form dough and roll out on a floured surface, to about 1/4-inch thickness.
  2. Cut candy cane shapes with a cookie cutter or a knife. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until light brown. Let cool. Frost with white frosting and decorate with M&M's chocolate candies.
