Ingredients For sausage bean soup

  • 1 lb
    pkg. Kielbasa sausage
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 15 oz
    can Italian stewed tomatoes
  • 15 oz
    can Cajun or Mexican stewed tomatoes
  • Basil, oregano, garlic salt and bay leaves, to taste
  • 15 oz
    can kidney beans
  • 15 oz
    can whole kernel corn
  • Shredded Parmesan cheese, if desired

How To Make sausage bean soup

  • 1
    Cut Kielbasa into thin slices.
  • 2
    In soup pan or dutch oven, saute sausage and onions; add tomatoes, with juices, and seasonings. Simmer approximately 20 minutes.

    Just before serving, add beans and corn, with juices. Heat through.
  • 4
    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired and crusty French bread.
