I love a simple pound cake. The simpler the better. Sometimes it is not always about the frosting.

This recipe is from a church cookbook right here in my own hometown....that makes it even better!

It a nice cake for any occasion rather for a church function, family reunion, or just serving unexpected company. That good!

I really love the simplicity of this cake....and I believe you will too.

  • 3 c
    self-rising flour, sifted
  • 3 c
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts
  • 6
  • ·
    dash of vanilla flavoring
  • 1 lb
    butter, melted
  • ·
    powder sugar

How to Make Nut Cake


  1. Sift flour and sugar.
  2. Add all other ingredients.
  3. Mix well
  4. Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  5. Pour in batter.
  6. Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven.
  8. Cool a little bit before you sprinkle with powder sugar.
