Ingredients For spaghetti with bacon and onion sauce

  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 2 1/2 cups drained canned italian style tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup dry red wine
  • salt, pepper
  • 1 lb. spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

How To Make spaghetti with bacon and onion sauce

    Cook spaghetti as pkg. direct. Put 1/4 cup of the bacon fat into a large skillet. Add onions. Sauté 3 minutes

    Add bacon, tomatoes and wine. Break up bacon. Season with salt and pepper. Remember that bacon is salty

    Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes. Pour sauce over spaghetti; sprinkle with cheese.
