Ingredients

  • ·
    1/2 pound ground beef
  • ·
    1/4 cup onions, chopped
  • ·
    1/4 cup catsup
  • ·
    few drops tabasco sauce, or to taste
  • ·
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • ·
    1/2 tsp. salt
  • ·
    1 can kidney beans, undrained, 8 oz
  • ·
    1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ·
    1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • ·
    1/4 cup stuffed green olives, chopped

How to Make Early California Spread

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown beef and 1/4 cup onion in skillet. Stir in catsup, Tabasco, chili powder and salt. Add beans with liquid and mash to mix thoroughly with other ingredients.
  2. Heat and garnish with shredded cheese, 1/2 cup onion and olives. Serve with corn chips. makes 3 cups.
