Ingredients

  • 3
    lemons
  • 1 stick
    margarine or butter
  • 3 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    white cornmeal
  • 8
    eggs
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • 2
    pie shells, unbaked

How to Make Lemon Chess Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Grate rinds of 3 lemons, then cut and juice.
  2. Cream soft margarine with mixer. Add granulated sugar, flour and white cornmeal. Add eggs, one at a time, milk and grated rind and juice.
  3. Scrape beaters, mix well, pour into unbaked shells.
  4. Bake in a preheated 365-degree oven for 35 minutes or until golden (or darker) brown.
