Ingredients

  • 4 c
    banana nut cheerios cereal
  • 1 c
    sweetened dried cranberries
  • 1/3 c
    slivered almonds,toasted
  • 1/3 c
    roasted unsalted sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 c
    light corn syrup
  • 1/4 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract

How to Make Banana Nut Cheerios Energy Bar

Step-by-Step

  1. Spray a 9 inch square pan with cooking spray
  2. In a large bowl,mix cereal,cranberries,al.monds,and sunflower seeds ,
  3. in a 2 quart saucepan,heat corn syrup,brown sugar,and peanut butter to boiling over medium-high heat,stirring constantly.
  4. Boil and stir for one minute;remove from heat,stir in vanilla.
  5. Pour syrup mixture over cereal mixture,toss to coat.
  6. press firmly in a pan;cool completely,about 30 minutes
  7. For bars,cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.
