Ingredients For just another cheap maple syrup recipe

  • 2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    mapeline*
  • 1/2 c
    dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp
    butter flavoring
  • *1/8 tsp
    maple flavoring..option instead of mapeline

How To Make just another cheap maple syrup recipe

    place sugar and water in medium saucepan. Boil together until sugar dissolves. Keep an eye on it to keep it from boiling down too much. Takes only a few minutes. It is the corn syrup that gives it consistency.

    Add dark corn syrup and stir to combine. Remove from stove.

    Add Mapeline or Maple flavoring. Add butter flavoring. Can serve warm with pancakes or waffles. Consistency is thinner when warm. Store in the refrigerator.
