This is a simple recipe that my grandaughters like to help with. It's fun to get them into the kitchen and they are really proud when they have helped make it.

Ingredients For mint chocolate bark

  • 1 pkg
    mint chips
  • 1 pkg
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c
coarsley chopped, toasted almonds, or nut of your choice

How To Make mint chocolate bark

  • 1
    PREHEAT oven to 325° F.
  • 2
Line a small baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  • 3
Mix the mint chips and the semi-chocolate chips together in a medium bowl.
  • 4
Pour the morsels onto the prepared baking sheet. Arrange morsels so they are touching each other in a single layer (roughly an 11 x 9-inch rectangle).
  • 5
Bake for 1 to 3 minutes or until morsels are shiny. Remove from oven to wire rack. With tip of butter knife or wooden skewer, immediately swirl morsels to create a swirled pattern.
  • 6
Sprinkle with nuts. Hold the baking sheet a few inches above the counter and drop to settle nuts into melted morsels.
  • 7
Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm. Break into pieces. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
