I got this recipe from my husbands co-worker. She would make this for us every Christmas, and we LOVE it! I finally decided to make it myself! The only change I made was to cook the mixture. I do this because of the eggs, even though the whiskey probably kills any bacteria from the eggs! I just wanted to be extra careful! This recipe makes about 28 fl. oz. I bought a case of 12oz. bottles and corks online. This makes a great holiday gift!

How to Make Irish Cream Liquor

Step-by-Step

  1. Whisk eggs, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate syrup, honey and 1/2 of the heavy cream, in a medium saucepan, over medium heat. Stir constantly and make sure mixture doesn't boil. Just heat til mixture is hot. Keep stirring after heated for about 10 minutes. Then remove from heat and allow mixture to cool.
  2. After mixture has cooled, add remaining heavy cream and all the whiskey. Whisk thoroughly.
  3. Pour into a glass bottle and chill at least 3 hours before serving.
  4. Makes a great holiday gift!
  5. NOTE: You don't have to cook this if you don't want to! You can just pour everything into a blender and blend til thoroughly combined.
