the molasses add's a nice change to pumpkin pie . Some years ago I was wanting to make a pie and didn't have all the ingredients, so I though I would try something a little different. I ended up with this pie, and it turned out so good that the family ate it all that night.

Ingredients

  • 1
    ready made pie pastry or home made pastry shell with a high crimped edge.
  • 1 can(s)
    16oz, pumpkin or 2 cups mashd cooked pumpkin
  • 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    dark molasses
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground ginger

How to Make Molasses Pumpkin Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. combine all ingredients in a bowl, beat mixture until well blended.
  2. pour into an unbaked pie shell , bake at 400 for 50-55 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
  3. let cool completely .
