Ingredients

    beaten egg
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    melted shortening
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • TOPPING:

  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • 1/2 c
    broken nuts

How to Make Coffee Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine egg, sugar, milk, and shortening. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Pour into an 8x8 baking pan. Sprinkle with the topping mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Enjoy!
