Coconut Striper

Lanie Avery

We catch a lot of striper, and end up freezing it. To add some variety to our fish dishes, I tried out a version of a classic...tempura. Serve with sweet and sour sauce with a dash of red pepper flakes.

How to Make Coconut Striper

  1. Trim striper (or whitefish) and cut into "nuggets"
  2. Follow tempura batter mix instructions on box, add in coconut and mix well.
  3. Dip fish nuggets in batter mix, and drip into deep fryer. Remove when nuggets are golden brown.

Excellent with rice and dipping sauce!
