Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp
    salad oil
  • 28 oz
    tomatoes, canned
  • 8 oz
    tomato sauce
  • 1 pkg
    spaghetti sauce mix
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder, with parsley
  • 1 tsp
    seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 lb
    lasagna noodles
  • ·
    water, salted
  • 3/4 lb
    mozzarella, thinly sliced
  • 3/4 lb
    ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 c
    parmesan cheese, grated

How to Make Cheese Lasagna Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat salad oil in a large skillet; add tomatoes, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce mix and seasonings; blend thoroughly.
  2. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 25 minutes, then set aside.
  3. Boil the tomato mixture in the bottom of a 12x8x2-inch baking dish; layer with a third of the lasagna noodles and a third each mozzarella, ricotta and tomato sauce.
  4. Repeat layers 2 times, ending with tomato sauce; sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  5. Bake, uncovered, in preheated 350 oven 30 minutes; let stand 10 minutes before cutting in squares.
