Just finished this to go with dinner this evening and it turned out wonderful. Of course it is gone!!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c
    milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1
    egg yolk
  • 3 c
    flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp
    crushed rosemary
  • 1 tsp
    (heaping) crushed garlic
  • 1 tsp
    butter

How to Make Candi's Rosemary garlic French bread

Step-by-Step

  1. In large bowl Mix milk, oil, egg yolk and rosemary together. Let sit until room tempurature.
    Mix in dry ingredients to form a ball of dough.
    Cover with plastic wrap and set in warm place for about 30-45 minutes
  2. turn dough out onto floured surface, knead garlic into dough for about 5 minutes until garlic is well incorporated into dough.
    shape in french loaf and place on ungreased cookie sheet
  3. Cover with towel and let rize for 15-20 minutes.
    Bake in 350* oven for 20-25 minutes.
    Place on cooling rack for 10 minutes, brush with butter and slice!
    This is a very soft bread, even the outside is soft
