Great old fashioned buttermilk pie recipe. Just like my grandmother used to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    melted margarine or butter
  • 1/2 c
    buttermilk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla flavoring
  • 1
    deep dish pie shell

How to Make Buttermilk Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix sugar and flour together.
  2. Add eggs and mix gently.
  3. Add melted margarine, buttermilk and vanilla and mix. Do not overbeat.
  4. Pour into 1 unbaked deep dish pie shell.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until pie is set.
