These are the best banana bars I have ever tasted. Be sure to put the honey in the frosting as I believe it is what makes these bars so decadent!!!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    margarine
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 3/4 c
    buttermilk
  • 2 - 3
    ripe bananas
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla

How to Make Banana Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all ingredients together and pour into jelly roll pan sprayed with Pam. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 35 minutes.
  2. Honey Frosting:
    1/2 c. margarine, softened
    1/4 c. honey
    Beat until light and fluffy

    Blend:
    3 c. powdered sugar and 2 egg whites

    Beat 10 minutes at high speed. Spread on cooled bars. Can keep in refrigerator or freezer for several weeks. ENJOY!
