    leeks, sliced

    turnips, cut into 1/2" cubes
  • 2
    potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2
    shallots, chopped
  • 2
    celery stalks, sliced
  • 2
    carrots, sliced
  • 2
    garlic cloves, halved
  • 2
    parsley, fresh sprigs
  • 2 can(s)
    chicken broth
  • 2 c
    half and half
  • ·
    "just a pinch" of salt
  • ·
    "just a pinch" of pepper
  • ·
    dill, fresh sprigs with stems

How to Make Ark Soup

Step-by-Step

  1. Saute all the vegetables in a large soup pot with the 2 tablespoons butter until vegetables are limp.
  2. Add chicken broth and simmer until turnips are tender; Cool slightly, then process a little at a time through a blender.
  3. Return soup to the pot and add the half-and-half; Re-heat gently and serve hot, garnished with a sprig of fresh dill.
