I tried this recipoe when we lived in Ohio, and not one for chopping everything small like the original,I heard this recipe from a chef on the Pittsburgh channel.Nice soup for a cold winter night

Ingredients For italian wedding soup

1/2 lbground beef or gound turkey

1/4cseasoned bread crumbs

1egg
-
1 Tbspparley

1whole chicken cut up
-
4 cwater or chicken broth
-
1small box orzo
-
2 cspinach cut up
-
1bag baby carrots
-
1/4 cgrated romano cheese

salt and pepper to taste

can use frozen meatballs
How To Make italian wedding soup

1combine the ground beef or turkey,bread crumbs,egg salt and pepper in a bowl. mix well and form into small meatballs

2meanwhile add chicken to water or broth, cover and boil for 5 minutes.add the meat balls and carrots to broth bring to a simmer cook for 1 hour. take out chciken and peel from bone.

3add orzo cook for 5 minutes add spinach ,put peeled chciken back in, stir in cheese and serve immediately
