Ingredients For spicy bean soup

  • 1-14.5 oz. can
    refried beans, no fat
  • 1-14.5 oz. can
    chicken broth, low fat, low sodium
  • 1-10.5 oz. can
    creamy poblano & queso or fiesta nacho cheese soup
  • 1-15 oz. can
    white corn, drained
  • 1-14.5 oz. can
    chili beans, undrained
  • 1 c
    medium salsa
  • 1/8 tsp
    cumin
  • 1/8 tsp
    oregano
  • 1/8 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp
    cayenne pepper

How To Make spicy bean soup

  • 1
    Stir refried beans and chicken broth together in a large saucepan. Stir until smooth.

    Add remainder of ingredients. Stir to blend.

    Simmer for 15 - 20 minutes. Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream or corn chips.

    Adjust spiciness to taste by your choice of soup, salsa and amount of pepper.
