Ingredients For sis's meatball stew

  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1 c
    soft bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c
    finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    dried marjoram
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 2 can
    14.5 oz. beef broth
  • 2 can
    condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 4
    medium potatoes, cut into pieces
  • 4
    medium carrots cut into small chunks

How To Make sis's meatball stew

    In a bowl combine egg, bread crumbs, chopped onion, salt, marjoram and thyme. Add beef and mix well. Shape into about 48 meatballs. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes till nicely browned, then drain off any grease.

    In a Dutch oven mix the broth, soup, potatoes, carrots and bring to a boil. Add the meatballs, reduce heat then simmer for 30 minutes, or till vegetables are tender.

    Serve with a crusty bread or garlic toast.
