Ingredients For pinky's cream of broccoli soup & garlic

1.5 lbbroccoli florets

bacon bits
-
1 dashground nutmeg
-
1 chalf and half
-
1 dashred pepper, crushed

salt and pepper to taste

1 qtchicken or beef broth
-
1-2 lgpotatoes
-
2 Tbspbutter
-
1 lgsweet onion, chopped

1garlic clove, minced
-
broccoli florets, cooked
How To Make pinky's cream of broccoli soup & garlic

1Saute onion and garlic in butter until the onions become transparent.

2Add chopped potatoes, broccoli, broth, salt, pepper and red pepper.

3Heat to boiling and simmer for about a half hour.

4Pour the mixture (about one third at a time) into the blender and pulse six or seven times for each batch.

5Place blended soup in crockpot and add half and half and nutmeg.

6Heat on low for another half hour and then let sit until dinner.

7Taste for seasoning; garnish with broccoli florets and bacon bits.
