A delicious chowder. I make it for all kinds of functions. Everyone loves this soup. I eat a bowl and not be hungry again for 5 hours. A must try reciepe!!

Ingredients For sausage chowder

  • 1 lb
    breakfast sausage
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic, minced
  • 3 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 c
    carrots, sliced very thin
  • 2 c
    potatoes, cubed
  • 2 c
    mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 c
    green beans, frozen
  • 1/4 lb
    pepperoni, either the mini ones or the reg ones cut onto quarters
  • 3 Tbsp
    dried parsley flakes
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried onion flakes
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried dill
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 c
    heavy whipping cream

How To Make sausage chowder

  • 1
    Cook sausage with onion until lightly browned. Add garlic and cook for another minute. Drain off fat. Stir in chicken broth, carrots, potatoes, mushrooms, beans and spices. Bring to a boil and simmer until vegetables are almost cooked. About 20 minutes. Add pepperoni and cook for at least 10 more minutes. Stir in heavy cream. Serve hot and Enjoy!!!!
