Ingredients For bean patties

  • 2 c
    cooked white beans
  • 1 tsp
    cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    chopped onion
  • 1 sm
    carrot, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped parsley
  • 1 md
    egg, lightly beaten
  • wheat germ, optional

How To Make bean patties

  • 1
    Cook the beans and press through a food mill while still hot, they puree much better when still hot.
  • 2
    Add all other ingredients and form into patties, dip into beaten raw egg, then roll in wheat germ and fry in hot oil.

    If you prefer, oil a baking pan with vegetable oil and bake at 425 F for ten minutes or until brown, turning once. Serve hot.
