This is a great recipe to make for gifts around the holidays or for parties. My sister shared this one with me and it is a favorite with my family and friends. I feel that there is nothing better than giving something "homemade with love"!

Ingredients For my sister's carmel popcorn

  • 8 c
    microwave popcorn (popped)
  • 3/4 c
    light brown sugar
  • 6 Tbsp
    butter
  • 3/4 c
    light corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    vanilla

How To Make my sister's carmel popcorn

    In a saucepan – add the first 3 ingredients. When it reaches a boil, let it continue to boil for 5 minutes. Remove From Heat. Immediately add ¼ teaspoon of Baking Soda and ¼ teaspoon of Vanilla. Stir. Then, pour over the Popcorn that has been spread on a Buttered or Pam sprayed oven grilling pan. Bake at 300 degree preheated oven for 15 minutes. Take out of oven, Stir well, and put back into oven for 5 more minutes. Take out, stir again. Cool. Remove from pan and put into bags or containers.
