Ingredients For turnips and cheese sauce

  • 5-6 md
    fresh turnips, washed/peeled/cubed
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 3-4 slice
    velveeta cheese, thick slices
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c
    milk

How To Make turnips and cheese sauce

  • 1
    Boil clean/cubed turnips until slightly soft and drain and set aside. (if you boil too long they become too mushy)
  • 2
    Create your cheese sauce by melting butter, flour stirring over low flame. Combine the milk and sauce with the corn starch and mix with flour mixture to thicken. Add the thick cheese slices.

    Season with pepper and pour over drained turnips. (Careful if adding salt, the velveeta is already very salty.)
