This is another of my mother's recipes that I found in the cookbook that she put together for our church when I was 9 or 10. I don't remember her making sweet pickles, but my grandmother did, so maybe this is the recipe she used. I've been hoping to find my mother's dill pickle recipe. I can remember her making those in huge crocks that lined the kitchen, but I digress... I'm not a huge sweet pickle fan, but for those of you who are I thought it might be something you would like to try. Her notes say these are 14 day pickles made in 3 days. Seems pretty simple. Enjoy!
