    all-purpose flour
  • 1 c
    beer, at room temperature
  • 2 tsp
    old bay seasoning
  • *****
    ice water
  • 2
    vidalia onions, sliced to form rings
  • *****
    oil for deep-frying

How To Make simple beer batter onion rings

    Mix first 3 ingredients and let rest for 30 minutes.

    Soak sliced onions in ice water for 30 minutes.

    Drain onions and dry with paper towels.

    Heat oil to 365 degrees.

    Dip onions in batter, letting excess drain off and fry in batches without crowding for 3-4 minutes. Drain and salt.
