My husband's family has made this casserole every holiday. It is sweet and delicious.

Ingredients For corn casserole

  • 2 17oz can
    canned corn - drained
  • 1 stick
    butter or margarine
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 2/3 c
    light cream
  • 4 lg
    eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • TOPPING
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter
  • 3 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon

How To Make corn casserole

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 2 quart baking dish with vegetable spray.

    Heat butter with sugar. Gradually stir in flour, remove from heat. Stir in cream, beaten eggs, baking powder and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in the drained corn.

    Pour into the prepared baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

    Topping: melt butter and pour over top of the baked corn. Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top of the butter. Bake for 5 minutes.
