Ingredients For fried zucchini

1 mdzucchini, sliced into 1/4 inch rounds

1 call purpose flour

1 pinchsalt and pepper, to taste

1 tspcrushed red pepper flakes

1 pinchonion powder, optional

1 pinchgarlic powder, optional

1 dashpaprika, optional

1 lgegg
-
2 Tbspmilk

olive oil, for frying
How To Make fried zucchini

1In a medium size mixing bowl, mix together flour, salt and pepper, red pepper flakes, and any of the optional seasonings. Set aside

2In another medium size mixing bowl, mix together egg and milk. Mix well.

3Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Dip zucchini slices into egg wash; using slight pressure, coat with flour mixture, tapping to remove excess.

4Add zucchini to hot oil, taking care not to crowd the pan. Fry 3 to 4 minutes per side, depending on the size of the slices. Note: After frying two batches: drain skillet of accumulated food products and oil. Add fresh oil.

5Drain fried slices on paper towels. Sprinkle with some additional salt and enjoy.
