Ingredients For carrie's fried cabbage

  • 2 lb
    bacon, diced
  • 2 md
    bell peppers, diced (any color)
  • 2 md
    onions, diced
  • 10 to12 lg
    mushrooms, diced
  • 4 stalk
    celery, diced
  • 4 md
    carrots, diced
  • 2 md
    heads of green cabbage, sliced

How To Make carrie's fried cabbage

  • 1
    In a large Dutch oven, fry bacon until crisp over medium heat. Remove bacon with slotted spoon. Set aside.
  • 2
    Add all the rest of the ingredients except cabbage. Sauté in bacon grease.

    When soft, add cabbage and bacon and continue cooking until cabbage is tender.
