mom`s pasta salad

This is one of my favorite pasta recipes and was always a staple on holiday dinners. Tomato is optional and as I only like tomatoes if they are green and fried I never add them.

Ingredients For mom`s pasta salad

  • 1 box
    rotini pasta
  • 1 1/2 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1 sm
    green pepper
  • 1 sm
    onion
  • 1 can
    hormel smoked ham
  • 1 sm
    tomato
  • 2 Tbsp
    white vinegar
  • black pepper to taste

How To Make mom`s pasta salad

    Cook pasta in salted water until AL dente. Once done drain and rinse in cold water.

    Finely dice onion and Pepper add to cooked pasta. If using the tomato dice and add to pasta as well. Add Hormel ham, vinegar, and mayo. I never measure the mayo but guesstimate how much I usually add. The best way is to taste and add more if desired. Add black pepper to taste and mix all ingredients together.

    Chill in fridge for at least two hours or until cold. Serve and enjoy.
