tater tot casserole...my own version

What makes this recipe different from other tater tot casseroles is the extra added ingredient added..potato chips. That simple addition adds such a wonderful taste to the casserole. My family enjoys this so much.

Ingredients For tater tot casserole...my own version

  • 1 lb
    ground beef lean
  • 1/2 c
    onions diced
  • 1 can
    cream of celery soup
  • 1 pkg
    tater tots, 32 oz.
  • 2 c
    mixed vegetables, frozen (small veggies)
  • 1 c
    potato chips, regular
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream/or milk
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 c
    green pepper, diced
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 2 c
    cheddar cheese

How To Make tater tot casserole...my own version

  • 1
    In a frying pan, brown meat. onion and green pepper. Season with salt and pepper to taste and add garlic powder. (drain and set aside)

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a baking dish add mixed vegetables alternate layers of meat and vegetables in a 2-quart casserole dish.

    In a bowl, mix cream of celery soup and milk/sour cream. Pour mixture over the casserole.

    Add crushed potato chips on top cheddar cheese and then tater tots.

    Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees uncovered or until bubbly. Tater tots should be golden brown.
