I have been making these baked beans since the 70's and have always gotten rave reviews. They are so easy to make. This recipe is big enough for a crowd but can be cut in half for a family dinner. They are good hot out of the oven or served cold. They are even better after sitting in the fridge for a few days. If you don't like butter beans you can substitute navy, white northern or cannellini beans.
