This has been a family and pot luck favorite ever since I started to make it 30 years ago. Every time I have made it for a potluck I have never brought home left overs. So if every one wasn't going with me I had to make two pots of it.

Ingredients For scalloped potatoes

  • 8-10 lb
    potatoes sliced can peel but don't have to
  • 3 lb
    meat (hot dogs, ham, pork, beef, chicken...) chunked
  • 3-1 lb
    packs of shredded cheese use a variety of yellow and white
  • 3-4 clove
    garlic chopped or grated
  • 1 lg
    onion shredded adds good flavor and no one knows its there
  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable better than bouillon paste
  • 1/2 gal
    milk i prefer whole but can use any
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce

How To Make scalloped potatoes

    I layer Potatoes then meat, potatoes then meat then place onion and garlic on top in a larger 6 quart crock pot.

    Next whisk milk flour and spices all together and pour over top of onions. Top with cheese

    Cover and put crock on high 30 - 60 min. Turn down to low and let cook 6-8 hours or until potatoes are done. Enjoy. If you can stir them a couple of time during the day.
