This is a family and friends favorite. Sounds like a lot to do, but it really is very easy! You can do this without bourbon. It's just for extra flavor, so it is kid friendly. Enjoy!! This will be a staple at your Thanksgiving table as it is in ours.

Ingredients For bourbon sweet potatoes

4 lbsweet potatoes

1/2 cbutter or margarine

1/2 cbourbon

1/3 corange juice

1/4 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1 tspsalt

1/2 tspapple pie spice
-
1 cmaple syrup

1 tspnutmeg

1/2 tspclove, ground

1/4 csugar
How To Make bourbon sweet potatoes

1Scrub potatoes. Cook, covered in boiling salted water, until tender. Drain, cool and peel under cold running water.Mash in a bowl.

2Add Butter/margarine, bourbon, oj,brown sugar,salt, apple pie spice, maple syrup,nutmeg,clove,sugar and mix together.Beat until smooth.

3pour into a baking dish. Sprinkle hazelnuts or pecans or mini marshmellows on top.

4Bake at 350 degrees for 45 mins. or until lightly browned.
