I wanted something a little more sweet to serve with my Christmas dinner, and had a bunch of apples. this recipe turned out very well, it was a huge hit with my entire family. I was originally going to bake these but didn't have the oven space. I honestly think they came out better then they would have if I had baked them. I used a 6 QT slow-cooker. Ive seen comments on similar recipes as using this as an ice cream topper, but I think it's excellent on pancakes or even waffles the next day.
