My husband enjoys homemade applesauce. My nephews always want me to bring applesauce to family get togethers. What an easy request when you can prepare, freeze and pull out the day before to thaw. If they only knew!

Ingredients For crockpot applesauce

  • 12
    granny smith apples, peeled, cored and quartered
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon

How To Make crockpot applesauce

    Add all ingredients to slow cooker. Heat on low until apples are tender. About 5-6 hours. It really depends upon the cooker.

    When apples are tender, whisk with a wire whisk until the sauce is the consistancy you prefer.

    Cool. Divide into freezer safe containers if it lasts that long

    HINT: If you have one of the apple corer peelers that attach to the counter, this recipe is a breeze!
