    ketchup
  • 1 c
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    cider vinegar
  • 1/4 c
    hot chili peppers, minced*
  • 3 Tbsp
    chili powder (adds flavor without heat)
  • 6 clove
    cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp
    salt

    Simmer about 25-30 minutes, then puree in blender to help bring out all of the flavors.

    Note: The dried chilies that come in small plastic packages, can be found in most grocery stores today. When reconstituted in warm water (10-20 min) they provide a rich smokey flavor that fresh chilies do not have.
