I added 1/4 cup honey to mine. It turned out really good. I like this on Chicken and Porkchops. It goes great to Chicken or Pork Barbeques. It goes well with Beef Barbeque.

Ingredients For homemade barbecue sause

  • 1 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 1/4 c
    mustard
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar or splender brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    cider vinegar
  • 10
    drops, liquid smoke sause (optional)
  • dash
    salt and pepper to taste
  • dash
    garlic powder to taste
  • 1 md
    chopped onion sauted

How To Make homemade barbecue sause

  • 1
    Stir everything together in small sause pan. Mixing well until all blended on low heat. Cook for 30 minutes. Stir once in a while. Sause will thinken as it cooks.

    Cool. Pour barbecue sause into a container or jar, seal tightly. Refrigerate until ready to use. Makes about 2 cups.
