Peach Starter is a thing my mom use to do when she has to much fruit of any kind be we always had extra peaches because that was her second favorite fruit Blackberries were her favorite, but to expensive so that was a treat to even have them..But Peaches were easy to come by.. So we had Peach this and Peach That..lol She decide to freeze the mixture for a added favor for Peach tea , peach smoothie, or even peach turnovers...Hope you like it..

Ingredients For peach starter

  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 4 c
    peaches(canned)in light juice if fresh add 1/4 of peach necter
  • 1/2 c
    white sugar
  • 1/2 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp
    freshly grated nutmeg
  • 2 tsp
    light vanila

How To Make peach starter

    Whisk peach juice and cornstarch together in a small bowl; transfer to a saucepan. Add peaches; cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until just boiling, 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in white sugar, brown sugar, and nutmeg; simmer over medium-low heat until sauce is thickened, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes to thicken.

    Cool and add to a blender, puree to all peaches are smooth...Add peach juice as needed.. If you prefer a none pulpy consistency strain it in a fine drainer to your liken.. But i like to taste the peach, in my tea...

    Now after it is completely cool, take out your Tupperware ice trays.. Pour the peach mixture in the trays but not all the way because it will expand.
