It's not frozen cream cheese, but frozen cheese cream, just like it says. This came from our local newspaper. Great for serving over fresh berries or as a topping for apple or mince pie. Can be made up to 2 weeks ahead.

Ingredients For frozen cheese-cream fruit topping

  • 1 1/2 c
    creamed cottage cheese
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1
    egg
  • 2 pt
    vanilla ice cream, slightly softened

How To Make frozen cheese-cream fruit topping

    About 4 hours or up to 2 weeks ahead:

    In a covered blender at slow speed, blend cottage cheese with sugar, vanilla and egg until smooth.

    In a large bowl, with mixer at low speed, beat ice cream with cottage cheese mixture until blended.

    Pour into a 5 x 10 loaf pan; cover with foil or plastic wrap; freeze until firm.

    Let stand in refrigerator about 30 minutes for easier scooping.
