During the 40~60s, my Grandparents ran a road-side Restaurant-Bar with the quaint name of "Chick-Inn". Their main offering being country fried chicken, game in season, huge salads and home-made pies and cobblers. Most of the ingredients for everything came from their own garden, orchards and hen house. They were close friends with a couple that ran the "Findley Lake Inn" which was famous for it's foods. That couple was kind enough to give my Grandmother their recipe for French Dressing. She used it until the Restaurant was sold, when they retired. I've used it for over 40 years and given it to other Restaurant owners that are still using it today. If you make it, I think you'll enjoy it...

Ingredients For dutch's easy-easy french dressing

  • 1 1/2 can
    tomato soup
  • 3/4 c
    cider vinegar
  • 1 1/2 c
    salad oil
  • 1 clove
    finely minced garlic
  • 1 tsp
    finely minced onion
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    prepared mustard, not dry
  • 1/2 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce

    Mix with hand beater or blender until emulsified and well mixed, keep refrigerated.
