Ingredients For mexican-style seven layer dip

  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning mix
  • 8 oz
    sour cream
  • 1 can
    refried beans
  • 1 pkg
    shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 3
    roma tomatoes, chopped and seeded
  • 1 can
    green chilis, undrained
  • 2 c
    mexican blend shredded cheese
  • 1
    small can sliced ripe olives

How To Make mexican-style seven layer dip

    In small bowl, mix taco seasoning and sour cream.

    On large platter or serving dish, spread refried beans in an even layer, covering to 1" of platter's edge. Spread sour cream mixture over this layer. I like to leave about a 1/4" border of beans showing for presentation purposes.

    In order, sprinkle shredded lettuce, tomatoes, green chilis, cheese, and black olives. Serve with tortilla chips or Fritos. NOTE- if black olives are not to your taste, you can substitute salsa before adding shredded cheese.
