Our youngest is a bit of a Ketchup snob, so to speak. He won't / wouldn't use anything except store bought Heinz. Little does he know :-D He's been eating this for MONTHS now

1/2 c

light corn syrup
1/2 c

white vinegar
1/4 c

water
1 Tbsp

sugar
1 tsp

salt
1/4 tsp

onion powder
1/8 tsp

How To Make heinz ketchup

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk until smooth. When mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often. Remove pan from heat and cover until cool. Chill and store in a covered container.
