Ingredients For festive red slaw

    red cabbage, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 md
    golden delicious apples, cored and coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 c
    red onion, finely chopped (or can use green onions)
  • 1/4 c
    salad oil
  • 1/4 c
    rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    coarse-grain mustard (or dijon)
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    celery seed
  • 1/4 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper

How To Make festive red slaw

    In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, apples and onion. Toss well.

    For dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the oil, vinegar, mustard, sugar, salt, celery seeds, and black pepper. Add dressing to salad; toss to coat. Cover and chill at least 2 hours and up to 24 hours.
