ok i think this is what my mom use to make for me when i was a kid. it taste just like it. thanks to everyone whom tried to help me find this recipe.

Ingredients For warm krautsalat

  • 2
    heads of white cabbage. core and remove outer leaves and wash heads
  • 1/4 c
    white vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp
    white sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil(light)
  • 1 lg
    onion
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp
    lemon juice(fresh)

How To Make warm krautsalat

  • 1
    The cabbage into quarters and rub on a small grater. grate as for cole slaw using large grate side.

    chop onion completely in pinky nail size pieces.
  • 3
    in large sauce pot warm oil. vinegar and sugar. toss in cabbage and onion add lemon juice and salt and pepper. cook for 10 min on med heat
  • 4
    till cabbage is tender. remove from heat serve warm.
