This is one of those recipes that doesn't quite know what it is. It could be a side dish, it also could be a dessert. It definitely is delicious.

Ingredients For blueberry jello salad

  • BOTTOM LAYER
  • 2 pkg
    black cherry jello, 3-oz size
  • 2 c
    boiling water
  • 1 can
    blueberries, 15-1/2 ounce, drained (not pie filling) save the juice
  • 1 can
    crushed pineapple, 15-1/2 oz, drained, save the juice
  • 1 c
    combined blueberry and pineapple juices
  • TOPPING
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla

How To Make blueberry jello salad

  • 1
    Dissolve jello in boiling water. Stir in the fruits and the fruit juices. Pour into 9 x 13 pan. Put in fridge and chill until firm.

    Cream together all topping ingredients. Mix until there are no lumps. Spread over firm jello layer. Return to fridge until topping firms up some. Serve in slices.
